Coder / Programmer

Coding was something which I didn't explore extensively, 11th Standard open these doors having the best teacher in my school Mr. Debashish Sir a sense of coding geek had been infused in me. I was not satisfied with just the school courses. It was the next year when we were locked in homes due to the Corona Outbreak I was taking a course from Mr. David J Malan and his CS50 team from Harvard University.

Coding was something which I didn't explore extensively, Devashish Sir, my computer teacher had influenced a coding geek in me in my 11th Standard. Covid-19 lock down allowed me to explore more coding in-depth. Getting an opportunity to attend a university-level course from David J Malan and CS50 team from Harvard University was something phenomenal. First Day the class with some basic principles of programming and the introduction to the Massachusetts Institute of technology's programming language scratch was just breathtaking. From binge-watching Netflix shows at the beginning of lock down, I started binge-watching CS50s Classes. I must say it's one of the best courses I have attended. The explanation of the environment to practice coding was an unparalleled experience. Moving from Scratch to Dennis Ritchie's Programming language - the most fundamental programming language - was yes indeed  "drinking from a fire hose". But it's those challenges that makes CS50 unique what is the fun when you can just simply sole the problem set at once.

The fun is when you run your mind behind the problem set revisit the lectures revisit the notes debug your code on your own, the fun is when you sit with two cups of coffee at night just to solve the problem set, it's not that you resist but its the interest that makes you do so. From C to Python then getting an opportunity to explore Game Development / Web Programming / Android IOS Development it's way beyond just Introduction to Computer Science.

Honored to be a part of CS50. Looking forward to the Artificial Intelligence Course during my Undergrad.
